    Position Overview

    Located in the West Coast including Pacific Northwest, responsible for pre and post technical sales support of Large Format Printers into accounts. As a pre-sales support analyst for Canon USA's Dealer Sales Division you will provide a value added dimension to the pre-sales process. As the technical product expert, develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex sales
    Responsible for driving technical hardware and software products sales of our 5, 6, 8, & 12 color imagePROGRAF print engines nationwide. Examples include, but are not limited to, high-end print servers, data storage, data networking, CAD, engineering, graphic arts, photo, and fine arts markets. Will work with Account Executive & Manager/Sales Representative to close sales.

    Responsibilities

    - Participate in Major Introductory Calls: Channel can engage Analyst to assist in explaining Canon's more technical solutions. Help uncover applications for integrated solutions. Strengthen rep's position in the account by showing depth of Canon Resources.
    - Participate in Demonstrations: support if large multi-unit potential customer requiring integrated solutions.
    - Participate in Educational Seminars and Open Houses: engaged to assist in presenting at these events to provide an additional level of technical expertise for increased credibility.
    - Advise on Workflow Assessment Surveys: advise on survey strategy (dealer conducts survey) and advise on best configuration recommendation(s) and assist in presenting survey results if large, multi-unit transaction.
    - Advise on Proposals: provide technical advisory support on best configuration/workflows to recommend, but dealer writes the proposal or bid.
    - Participate in Follow-up and Closing calls: engaged in these calls to provide technical consultative support for larger, multi-unit transactions.
    - Support Product Launches: provide product launch support to AE's.
    - Gather Market Intelligence: gather market intel including competitive actions, needed Canon programs, and call reports.
    - Support CUSA National Shows and Events: support CUSA national shows such as DSF, Truck Tours, and SalesNet.
    - Customization Project Recommendations submit customization project requests to Canon HQ based on observations of market needs. These typically are large, nation-scope opportunities for Canon Solution Development Department to consider for investment and development.

    Qualifications

     
    - Requires Bachelor's degree.
    - Position requires at least 3 years of related work experience.
    - Experience to include supporting large format printing market segments.
    - CDIA Certification will be required during first 12 months of employment
    - Image Platform knowledge helpful, certification preferred.
    - Network Plus knowledge helpful, certification preferred.
    - Job requires 70% travel within Western region.
    - This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.
