    Position Overview

    Canon has an exciting opportunity for a eCommerce Channel Development Specialist to join our growing eCommerce Sales team in the Imaging, Technologies & Communications Group (ITCG).

    Responsibilities

    The  eCommerce Channel Development Specialist will be responsible for the following:
     
    Allocation/Inventory Process:
    - Secure inventory from product groups for promotions and channels
    - Establish shipment guidelines and allocation for Canon Direct
    - Communicate out of stock products
    - Drive periodic item maintenance, audits, SKU assortment and inventory to ensure accurate status on Canon Direct (new product, estimated ship dates, end of life, discontinued products etc.)
     
    Operations Process:
    - Product launch set ups
    - Coordinate and leverage Product Marketing digital assets to be used for specific Direct Business users
    - Maintain promotions matrix (Regular/NIR)/promo code set up
    - Align with Product Marketing on customer content marketing
    - Execute promotions ( as developed by Business Planning, and immediate ST ones [as requested by Direct Business Sub-Group to meet a monthly goal]) to meet sales goals - coordinate with DMSD Creative and Ops Teams to get promotions on Websphere
    - QA promotions
    - Request and revise promotions with Product Control
    - Review and approve eComm site updates based on BI data, then oversee execution of updates on the site
     
     
    Shows and Events:
    - Determine shows to attend (align with Product Marketing’s event calendar)
    - Determine products and free gifts with Business Planning
    - Secure promotions and pricing from Business Planning
    - Secure staffing for the events
    - Secure products for Touch and Try
    - Secure inventory with Business Planning
    - Transfer product to appropriate warehouses with Business Planning (if inventory will be on site)
    - Measure and report overall event performance
     
     

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree Required in Business,  Economics, or Mathematics
    3 - 5 years of E-commerce industry or related industry experience.
    Understanding of and experience with large affiliate platforms.
    Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal) and the ability for communicating
    with customers/partners at all levels of an organization.
    A high degree of creative ability, analytical and business skills and independent judgement.
    Highly consultative and solution oriented.
     
    This position will require up to 20% Overnight travel. This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.
