    Position Overview

    Provides technical assistance and resolution when engineering problems are encountered.


    - Understands root cause analysis methods for equipment operation. Implements improvements for equipment activities.
    - Assembles/repairs engineering systems, prototypes, production units according to data using hand tools and measuring instruments.
    - Installs and maintains engineering control systems and equipment.
    - Modifies prototypes, parts, assemblies, units and systems to correct functional deviations.
    - Sets up and operates test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, units or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
    - Collaborates with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve production/developmental problems.
    - Builds, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production units, instruments or testing equipment.
    - Collects, analyzes, and reviews data to resolve design related problems.
    - Consults with management and / or engineers regarding major equipment issues and / or improvements.
    - Writes commissioning procedures for electrical installations.
    - Prepares project cost and work-time estimates.
    - Reviews engineering proposals, shop drawings, and design comments for conformance with established safety and design criteria.
    - Modifies diagrams and writes engineering specifications to clarify design details and functional criteria.
    - Conducts inspections for quality control and assurance programs, reporting findings and recommendations.
    - May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects.


    - Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED, 2 year degree preferred, with 4-6 years’ engineering or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    - Strong mechanical aptitude.
    - Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
    - Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
    - Experience with Oracle.
    - May be required to work overtime and may be assigned to other shifts based on company needs.
