Position Overview

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is conducting a search for a Marketing Associate Specialist for the Camera/Video Marketing team. In this position, you will help coordinate and develop content for the Canon U.S.A., Inc. website and other digital platforms including the Canon Online Store. This will involve writing and editing content, tracking the progress of projects and maintaining a schedule, ensuring the timely delivery of content, monthly site traffic reporting, and overall site maintenance.
 
To qualify, you must demonstrate a success in digital content development and project management along with a bachelor’s degree, ideally in communications or marketing or related field. Ideal candidates should have a working knowledge of content management systems and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Photography experience a plus.

Responsibilities

- Writing and editing content for Canon USA's website.
- Web maintenance for Canon USA's website.
- Prepare monthly reports using analytics to measure site traffic for Canon's online store.
- Assist with marketing strategy on multiple websites and platforms
- Help fulfill all incoming web requests
- Work closely with design agencies and internal marketing teams
 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s degree in communications or marketing, and 1-2 years marketing experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Familiarity and working knowledge of Professional and Consumer Cameras, Lenses, Flashes, and Camcorders. Experience in these categories is a plus but not necessary.
- Organized, detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Web-publishing experience (1-3 yrs. Minimum)
- Experience with content management systems required.
- Understanding of the web and social media (various platforms, responsive elements, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
