Position Overview

Canon USA is currently seeking a Specialist in our Logistics Division.
The Logistics Specialist will perform both daily and project oriented tasks related to Customs & Trade Compliance. Tasks will include performing audits and writing reports, classification (HTS and ECCN), creation of SOP's and working with internal and external parties for resolution of pending issues.


- ECCN/HTS Classification
- Performing audits of import / export activities (including record keeping)
- Assist with C-TPAT activities pertaining to annual submissions to CBP
- Assist with performing reviews for Importer Self Assessment Program
- Perform Denied Persons List reviews for both daily and project oriented tasks
- Liaison with internal and external parties for resolution of pending issues
- Assist and perform presentations 
- Create flowcharts and SOP's
- Research Import and Export regulations
- Perform import operations with customs brokers (ISF and EDI)


- 1-2 years experience involving trade compliance is required
- Should be familiar with C-TPAT Program, ISA Program, Drawback, Export Compliance, ECCN, HTS and performing audits
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Customs Brokerage License preferred but not necessary

- MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills a plus
- Bilingual Spanish oral and written a plus
