Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Part Time HR/Talent Coordinator to join our Corporate HR Division in Melville, NY.  This position will support our Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion, and University Relations departments.  The position will be part time, working 28 hours per week. 


- Coordinates all new hire preparation including organizing orientation, collecting and filing new hire paperwork, and correspondence with hiring managers on orientation day
- Responsible for paying bills/entering invoices on behalf of the three departments.
- Coordinates staff meetings and maintains meeting agendas on a bi-weekly basis.
- Supports University Relations with coordination in advance of, and during the summer Intern program.
- Maintain the vendor contract files, including maintaining correspondence with vendor contacts for renewals, etc.
- Acts as first level support to Talent Acquisition team within iCIMS (applicant tracking system).
- Maintains the Talent Acquisition hotline and email Inbox.
- Orders office supplies and department "give-aways".
- Coordinates candidate travel.
- Responsible for processing Employee Referral Bonus payouts in a timely manner.
- Special projects as needed.


- HS Diploma required, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's Degree program.
- Prior internship or full time experience working in a Human Resources department is a plus, in addition to a career interest in this field.
- Experience with an applicant tracking system is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle is a plus.
- Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and have excellent prioritization skills.  
- Superior skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
