Position Overview

The Associate Logistics Specialist (Specialist, Logistics, Assoc.) is responsible for a range of activities including direct support of business unit sales and customer service requirements, international shipment arrangement, Warehouse Management System (WMS), division support, supply chain system maintenance/development, expense budgeting and Division reporting activities.

Responsibilities

- Effectively communicate to internal business colleagues as well as external partners ensuring that Corporate Logistics is meeting or exceeding our customer expectations and requirements. Document and distribute information on Corporate Logistics activities

Analyze data and proposes improvements to productivity/efficiency within all facets of the corporate and regional Logistics operations

Maintains budgeting responsibility for individual projects and contributes to increased awareness of and adherence to costs and efficiencies within the Logistics Division through data analysis and KPI reporting

Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training/testing plans for Corporate Logistics and Distribution Center use related to processes, procedure and application of systems. Identify and provide guidance and support for staff training in technology areas necessary to support Logistics operations

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certificate required
- A minimum of 1 year experience is favorable but not required
- Spanish language skills helpful but not required
- Occasional overnight travel and the ability to analyze business issues and develop models/solutions to address these problems and challenges required
- The best candidates will be detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects/assignments with varying deadlines, be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite (namely Excel and PowerPoint) as well as above average analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to comprehend complex statistical analysis required
