Position Overview

Canon USA, Inc. is seeking an Marketing Specialist for the Camera Business Planning team that will be responsible for product management and product planning. The position will work closely with the Sales and Order Management teams and demands a strong concentration in forecasting and inventory management. The successful candidate will also learn Canon's great technological achievements and become a key contributor to the Camera Business Planning team. The candidate will strive to achieve monthly targets and annual budgets to drive the company's success.


  • Recommends marketing plans and activities for product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
  • Conducts market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs to suggest development of new products.
  • Prepares materials for internal and external presentations and communication.  Works with key internal stakeholders to communicate the brand and business unit position, ensuring consistency of the brand and corporate image.
  • Responsibilities may include coordinating trade show activities, website development, e-commerce strategies and tracking of marketing campaigns. Collaborates with business team members to plan, develop and produce promotional tools.


The position requires a Bachelors degree in marketing/market research combined with 3 years of professional experience in a product marketing or product control.
Must be analytical and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with vlookups and pivot tables & Powerpoint skills.
Experience with Market Research is required. This position requires 20% overnight travel.
