The (Strategic Business Developer) is accountable for the identification and development of strategic business relationships, in new market areas, and identification of new opportunities for solution development with existing products and/or modified existing product withing the Imaging, Technology and Communications Group (ITCG) at Canon USA. Reports to Director, Strategic Business Development.
This is can be a Virtual (Home Office) based position (candidate is expected to be in Melville once a month or as needed); or a Melville, NY office role for candidates in the Long Island area.
The (Strategic Business Developer) will identify, evaluate, and prioritize specific opportunities in support of the broader partner strategy, including developing the business case for a partnership (rationales and economics.
To drive research and validation of new concepts for developing business plans for new opportunities
Execute pre-sale requirements including: financial analysis, contracts, short and long term estimates, sales processes and marketing support.
Will be responsible for creating, managing and follow up of a project plan to bring solutions and partnerships from ideation stage
Will be responsible for execution of trail and launch plans that result in new product sales within identified partnerships
Communicate with all stakeholders at all stages of the deal process to secure external and internal buy-in and approvals
Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree required 7-10 years’ experience in sales, business development, or major account management including 3+ years spent in a similar business development role.
Experience building and maintaining high-level partner relationships (Director level and above) Knowledge of the professional imaging markets and products, including still, motion and printing a plus.
Excellent business judgment and the demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically.
Strong Sales skills; ability to maintain momentum and drive to close long sell cycles ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations Business strategy and market development expertise with analytical and business modeling skills.
Strong presentation and written communications skills
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain credit for travel-related expenses. A minimum of 40% domestic travel is required.
