Position Overview

Our professional support facility located in Burbank, CA serves the production communities in greater Los Angeles. With the advanced capability of our new location, and our commitment to this segment of our business, we seek a Marketing Director to develop & drive the strategic programming and relationships, in addition to managing the operations, of this facility.







  1. Direct development of customer facing programming and engagement strategy based on Canon-relevant cinema, broadcast, still photography and related technical themes.
  2. Develop Canon Burbank marketing requirements with appropriate internal CUSA marketing stakeholders. Prepare vision and positioning documentation to support a vibrant and active Canon presence in the professional production communities we serve.
  3. Cultivate and oversee cinema and production industry relationships with key business partners, influencers and educators. Utilize those relationships to inform and build programming strategy most suitable to Canon's business advantage in our respective markets.
  4. Manage facility to ensure our Canon teams are fully supported in their work with our customers. This includes technical systems readiness, building/landlord-related matters, maintenance and security/safety procedures. Ensure budgets and deadlines are met for optimal team effectiveness in our facilities.
  5. May provide leadership to additional ancillary teams.
  6. Direct the activities of a team which includes selection, development, and evaluation to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


  1. Requires Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in production related, media/communications or marketing.
  2. Twelve years’ experience in production, production management, cinema/broadcast related sales/marketing or similar media centric fields.
  3. Experience to include minimum ten years’ experience managing teams.
  4. Extensive knowledge of today’s main camera systems, optics, workflows and accessories for cinema/general production.
  5. Requires excellent communication, presentation/public speaking skills.
