Position Overview

Provides mechanical/electrical/systems engineering support for the manufacture/assembly of office and consumer products and remanufacturing/refurbishing of copiers/printers/scanners/cameras. Plans, schedules, prioritize and organizes workday to maximize use of time in meeting deadlines and responding to unscheduled events.


  • Utilizes mechanical background to provide technical support to the manufacturing departments.
  • Investigates production problems related to parts design, fit or function and system/process design.
  • Conducts defect analysis with oversight. Determines root cause and recommends countermeasures and improvements.
  • Performs investigations, trial verifications, engineering trials, mass trials or pilot studies to confirm quality of parts, materials, and product and/or process improvements.
  • Researches, evaluates and develops domestic sources for parts.
  • Issues Engineering Change Order’s (ECO), Engineering Change Instruction’s (ECI) and technical documents.
  • Collect and/or organize data, produce analysis for decision making.
  • Evaluates new purchased production parts and makes judgment for tool sample parts approval.
  • Coordinates and assists with the startup of new product lines.
  • Provides training to new members and mentors level I and II engineers.
  • Leads a small group or team.
  • Develops schedules for accomplishing engineering activities.
  • Approves engineering documents for responsible products including such items as ECOs, ECIs, Technical Reports, etc.
  • Monitors member’s activity towards meeting department goals.
  • May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects.



  • Requires Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Requires 5-8 Years Experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP) recommended.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Requires strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Must be results oriented, energetic, proactive, self-starter, and a team player. Strong communication (written and verbal) required, and interpersonal skills required.
  • May have to work overtime and may be assigned to other shifts based on company needs.
