Position Overview

Canon BioMedical is currently seeking a Product Manager of Marketing to be responsible for developing and implementing solutions focused on Infectious disease in the research and point-of-need diagnostic marketplaces.
 
In this highly visible role, you will interface with key stakeholders including commercial sales and marketing, operations, medical and regulatory affairs, Legal and R&D.  Externally this role will interact with KOLs, consultants, customers, and various groups representing different customer personas.
 
Get in on the ground floor of this exciting venture! You will have a great deal of input throughout the process and for the final products and go-to-market strategy.

This position is based in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities

 
- You will manage products within a given portion of the portfolio from "Cradle-to-grave"
- Develop and execute marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Assist in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
- Develop and execute product-line growth strategy.
- Identify potential collaborations and business development opportunities.
- Responsible for distribution/pricing/promotions/positioning of products within target markets.
- Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and provide feedback to senior executives.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative market analysis and monitors industry trends.
- Create and monitor marketing budget.
- Plan and oversee execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage.
- Help to establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.

Qualifications

-
- Five or more years of Medical Device Industry Experience in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development role with molecular diagnostic products is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related field is required. 
- Knowledge of women’s health, point-of-care or infectious disease is strongly preferred.
- Experience with product launches and commercial roll-outs are required.  
- Experience with market assessments, competitor analysis, online/digital marketing, and/or sales forecasting required.
- Experience with establishing and managing KOLs required.
- Experience with direct reports preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- The ideal candidate will also be detail oriented, have highly developed organizational skills, the ability to work independently, ability to quickly and thoroughly prioritize and complete tasks under multiple deadlines.
- Candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, both written and verbally.
