Position Overview

Our Future Product and Solutions Group researches business opportunities for Canon sensor products.  If you enjoy direct customer interaction, analyzing markets and customer applications, we want to hear from you! You will provide total end-to-end client management from creating initial interest, technical/engineering support and solution consultation for immediate to future projects.

We are looking to hire a (Engineer, Field Applications) where you will use your sales skills to support new business such as selling CMOS Sensors, Modular Imaging Systems and Customized Cameras/Lenses to Integrators and end user client.

 

Primarily responsible to identify and develop technology solutions for clients using Canon products, outsourced technology solutions and/or proprietary tools/techniques that others implement. Define client needs and develop a plan and proposal for delivery of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new and expand existing account relationships and manage prospects.
  • Evaluate client requirements and develop appropriate solutions; collaborate on future solutions.
  • Generate quotations and proposals in response to RFQs and RFPs.
  • Function as liaison between the client, production, engineering and service.
  • Create awareness for Canon’s products and services; Conduct presentations, account visits and demonstrations; Attend and staff technical exhibitions and shows.
  • Participate in the identification and development of new market opportunities.
  • Participate in market analysis and identifying competitive and complimentary technologies and products.
  • Support new business such as selling CMOS Sensors, Modular Imaging Systems and Customized Cameras/Lenses to Integrators and end user client.

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in business related to image sensor solutions and systems is preferred but not required.
  • Support new business such as selling CMOS Sensors, Modular Imaging Systems and Customized Cameras/Lenses to Integrators and end user client.
  • Strong self directed organizational skills as well as time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and sales management software like Salesforce.com.
  • Superior interpersonal and written/oral skills, with the ability to relate well with others, to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and crafting win win solutions.
  • Ability to lift demonstration equipment, up to 50lbs.
  • 50% travel is required. This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and therefore, you must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies.
