We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Dealer Business Risk Management who will manage and control the tactical coordination of all credit processing and risk assessment activities for a regional captive commercial finance company.  The Senior Manager will have two to three direct reports. The position will have people management and development responsibilities for each Dealer Business Risk Managers or Dealer Business Documentation Supervisors.  The strategic focus involves the proper assessment of credit risk resulting in an acceptable level of budgeted bad debt while protecting the company's assets, both in the near and long term.  The position provides strategic input on Canon Initiatives, such as the Canon First, IP7000 program and commercial print for pay programs.  The position may actively participate in the Leadership Team and one of the three TOP Committees to implement and execute financial and organizational strategies that align with Canon's primary business objectives.



Responsibilities:
  • Creates, initiates, implements and facilitates best in class customer service to Dealers and customers. 
  • Responsible to ensure that Dealer Business Risk Managers, Dealer Business Coordinators and Dealer Business Documentation Specialists are executing credit and documentation decisions within credit underwriting standards and desired portfolio delinquency and charge-off standards. 
  • Responsible to recommend credit authority increases to the Sr. Director of Risk. 
  • Overall responsibility for the staffing, development and training process of all Risk Department Team members.
  • Providing associates timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing associates to their fullest potential to enhance career growth; recognizing and rewarding associates for accomplishments.
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with individuals at Canon USA, CBS, Dealers, Customers and within CFS.
  • Responsibilities also include managing conflict and building trust throughout all of Canon.
  • Plans, organizes, delegates and executes projects in a timely manner.
  • Action oriented and adaptable to changing conditions within CFS.
  • Ability to make sound, factual based timely decisions.
  • Providing coaching and direction that supports the Risk Department in meeting the company, team and individual goals.
  •  Enhance existing relationships through extraordinary to dealers/customers.
  • Attend Trade Shows or Open Houses as required by Leadership Team.
  • Dealer and Customer visits when appropriate.
  • Building Customer Loyalty.
  • Building Strategic Working Relationships.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education Required: Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and equivalent work experience.
  • Ten years of industry experience with at least five years in a management role.
  • Superior Relationship, Documentation and Credit Underwriting skills.
  • Team player with a high energy, positive outlook and professional demeanor who takes initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage expectations.
  • Ability to manage a diverse cross functional team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Superior knowledge of Credit concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Extraordinary ustomer Service skills.
  • Cultural Sensitivity.
